81 percent of people in Germany see artificial intelligence (AI) as a huge opportunity for medicine. This is the result of the latest representative Bitkom survey on digital health. 70 percent of Germans would like to see AI support for doctors – and not just for the analysis of CT or X-ray images. 35 percent assume that in certain cases, AI diagnoses can be more accurate than human diagnoses. And 57 percent call for the promotion of artificial intelligence in medicine. However, 87 percent of respondents are in favor of strict regulation for the use of AI in medicine.
