The drafts of two important digitization laws are available with not too many changes compared to the draft bill: The Act to Accelerate the Digitization of the Healthcare System – Digital Act DigiG for short – and the Act on the Improved Use of Health Data (Health Data Use Act – GDNG). Only the point of contention regarding the filling of the electronic patient file (ePA) by doctors was substantially adjusted. Federal Health Minister Lauterbach wants a Gematik Act and a Medical Research Act to follow next.
