According to gematik, from January 2025 it should only be possible to prescribe DiGAs via e-prescription and with a health ID – without alternative redemption channels.
The problem with this is that, as things stand today, only a few people with statutory health insurance have these requirements – 85 percent of those insured would be excluded from access to digital health applications (DiGA) in this way.
The German Association for Digital Healthcare (SVDGV) has responded with a statement and concrete suggestions for improvement for a transitional solution using tried and tested methods such as CardLink technology.
