Summer, sun, summer party 21!
As we do every year, we didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the end of the warm season together in 2021. The Sommerfest 21 was also a special highlight because it had been a really long time since we fluids had seen each other in an almost complete line-up. As every year, fluidfamily & friends, i.e. active fluids, their partners and children as well as former fluids, were invited.
Aunt Polly
Our Feelgood Manager Tom kicked off the evening with refreshing drinks at the fluidmobile headquarters in Bachstraße in Karlsruhe. A specially organized shuttle bus took us to this year’s party location: Tante Polly in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. This event location on the Old Rhine offers a charmingly rustic atmosphere as well as the opportunity to explore the adjacent nature reserve on the Rhine in canoes.
After quenching our thirst with lemonade and aperitifs and preparing our stomachs for dinner with ice cream, CEO Christoph gave us a short speech to get us in the mood for the competitive canoeing event that was to follow.
Canoeing
Tom had arranged a special canoe trip with the operators in advance. The task: to write our company name fluidmobile in the Rhine with the canoes using GPS tracking and recording the route traveled. Divided into different teams and equipped with paddles, life jackets and smartphones with a native GPS tracking app, we set sail into the Old Rhine! While some teams eagerly pursued the task, others enjoyed the untouched nature and wildlife of the nature reserve. In terms of the fun factor, it was a great success. As a reward for their efforts and sporting spirit, the buffet was opened without further ado.
The tables were set with cold starters, all kinds of salads, different types of bread and antipasti, while the main dishes developed their roasting aromas on the grill. Relaxed conversations, karaoke contest and dance floor and a richly covered dessert buffet… oh, life can be so beautiful.
We celebrated the end of summer, but above all our get-together in the fluidfamily, until the early hours of the morning and are already looking forward to the next fluid event.
