What you should bring with you
- You have written several backends for productive use and are familiar with microservices
- You know dependency injection and separation of concerns
- In your programming style, you emphasize immutability and the reduction of predicates
- You are familiar with the OWASP common vulnerabilities and know possible mitigation measures
- The use of Angular for our web UIs is no problem for you
- Our services are deployed as Docker containers. You should therefore be fit in k8s or a comparable technology
- The servers use Linux. The shell shouldn’t make you sweat
- You know what belongs to a JVM build system: M2 repositories, CI, Maven or Gradle, container registries
- You read a lot about software technologies and try them out – even away from the workplace
- You are used to working independently and want to continuously develop your skills
- You have initial knowledge of Ansible and perhaps even Terraform
- These are other technologies in which your expertise would be most welcome: Cassandra, event sourcing (perhaps even with Kafka), a JMS implementation (such as ActiveMQ), HAProxy, OpenID Connect, Flyway, jOOQ, ELK or EFK, Netty and anything else that is fun in the backend.
Your tasks
- You are a member of the Scrum team and live agile values
- In consultation with software architects, you design the characteristics of individual services
- You support us in answering sizing questions by providing estimates for your services
- You independently develop individual microservices based on the resulting specification
- You ensure that the services you develop run smoothly in the backend and deploy them yourself
- In close cooperation with our app developers, you work together on the integration of the respective components
- You help us to comply with the SLAs agreed with our customers
